FILING SALES TAX
You should be preparing your PTA's taxes to be filed soon, so we have invited a representative of the Texas Comptroller's Office to give this presentation and answer any questions you might have. All PTA Treasurers and anyone interested in holding the office of Treasurer next year should attend this session.
ELECTING A NOMINATING COMMITTEE
If your PTA has not already elected your nominating committee, you will probably be doing so within the next couple of months. Successful elections begin with the nominating committee. Parliamentarians are the point of contact for the nominating committee after it has been selected. All PTA Parliamentarians and members of the nominating committee (or any members interested in joining this committee) should attend this session.
COMMUNICATION TIPS & TRICKS
Effective communication is essential to a successful PTA! Texas PTA's Board of Directors adopts policies to provide direction to local PTAs on a variety of issues; one of which is Social Media. Learn the dos and don'ts of social media so you can effectively promote your PTA. All communications chairpersons, presidents, and anyone operating your PTA's social media accounts should attend this session.

FOUNDATIONS Leader Orientation (FLO) is a two-part introductory course required to be completed by PTA board members. By now, you should have completed FLO Part I, but if you have not yet completed the session, it can be accessed HERE. FLO Part II is offered as a two-hour in-person training by Killeen ISD Council of PTAs. If you were unable to attend the FLO Part 2 Training Sessions in October, we will be offering three more sessions at the JPLC on January 17th. The times are subject to change if we do not receive enough interest, so please register early.
